About Me

 

        My story is an unusual one, at least for a fitness professional. I was never very good at sport when I was younger. I didn't play rugby or football for my school and I was actually pretty out of shape throughout most of my youth. This was how it was for me until one day I joined a gym, just to try it out and try and get in shape. From that point on I became obsessed!

        Since that day I began buying books on training methods and nutrition, learning what I could about how to train and how the body worked. With little natural ability of my own, I had to discover the hard way (the scientific way) of getting to where I felt I needed to be. I then went to University in Nottingham and achieved a Bachelors degree In Sports Science with Psychology (psychology being a subject I seemed to perform well in) and passed with flying colours. As soon as I graduated I knew what I was meant to become - a trainer. I believe training others is what I was born to do, and the only thing in which I can honestly say I excel.

        I am constantly striving to improving my knowledge and skill base in order that I can better serve those that want my help. I am very grateful of my reputation in Bedfordshire as a well educated trainer and the person to talk to if losing body fat is one of your goals. I do not pretend to know everything, but I am trying everyday to get closer to that point!

        Along-side training those interested in body composition improvement, I have worked with various athletes including amateur level marathon runners, US scholarship winners in rowing, junior and masters level regional and national swimmers. I have trained several expectant mothers through their pregnancy, rehabilitated individuals with various injuries to the knee. lower back and shoulder and have experience in training and helping individuals with a huge variety of chronic conditions. I believe that whatever your fitness goal, I can help you get there.
