Having a personal trainer is becoming more and more popular in the UK. If you want better teeth, you go and see a dentist. If you want an extension on your house, you talk to a builder. If you want to improve your health and fitness you now consult a personal trainer. So long as the trainer knows what they are doing (unfortunately the standard of some trainers leaves much to be desired) the investment is well worth it. It makes sense. If you want to do something properly, you consult an expert in that particular field. It will save you a huge amount of time and money in the long term!
Here are 4 reasons why hiring a trainer is all important in improving your health and fitness...
Motivation
The most obvious benefit that people look for in a trainer is motivation. There is tremendous benefit in having someone at the gym waiting for you and someone to push you every step of the way through your workout. You will never train as hard on your own as you will with someone there to push you and keep you focused!
Knowledge
Whilst, unfortunately, this can't be said about all trainers, having an expert to guide and advise you is priceless! I know people who have spent their whole lives training or eating inappropriately and never achieving anything - never looking any better and never getting any fitter. The problem is very common and is so easily fixed when you know what you are doing. It is this aspect in particular that I have focused my reputation on.
Program Design
Writing a good workout program is a skill, science and art. If you get it wrong you will not get very far but when you get it right the results can be amazing! Some simple mistakes seen time and time again do most people more harm than good when it comes to driving closer towards their aspirations.
Nutrition
In my opinion, nutrition is the most misunderstood and confusing subject in the field of health (and studying it intensively for the last 4-5 years believe me, I know). There is so much false information out there it's no wonder people struggle to strip body fat and build muscle mass let alone manage their diabetes or elevated cholesterol levels! Helping you control and understand your nutritional intake is one of my main focuses with new trainees. This area is something that, without expert guidance, people will always get wrong through no fault of their own.
Having a Personal Trainer has many benefits. The most important of which is simple, results. Training with a Personal Trainer guarantees you will achieve the targets you set. If you want to really want to look better, feel better and perform better, hire an expert to help make it happen!
