The breakfast cereal industry is a multi-billion pound industry. They have celebrities and sports men and women telling us that a nutritious bowl of high-fibre (grain-based) cereal is the perfect food to eat for breakfast. Wrong.
The two most important things to look for in breakfast foods are Tyrosine and Phenylalanine. Apart from aiding the immune system, they help release dopamine in the brain and make you feel alert and positive in the morning. Some of the best sources of these amino-acids are eggs are red meat!
Our ancestors, as hunter-gatherers, would have eaten nuts and berries in the morning along with left-over meat from the hunt the night before. This is the food on which we have evolved for millions of years consuming. Upon the increased consumption of meat in our ancestry, the human cranial capacity increased by one third!
Do not deny yourself of the food and nutrients that have been a part of our diet for millions of years believing instead that a box of processed rugby ball shaped grain is superior!
