The area in which I work, no wait, in which I have CHOSEN TO and LOVE TO work is body re-composition. Helping an individual who is very unhappy with how they look and feel with their physique and helping them transform that physique in to something that not only makes them more confident but actually improves their life and the lives of those around them is a gift.

In the field of body re-composition I have dedicated a tremendous amount of time and effort to studying and practicing methods in both training and nutrition to discover what works and what doesn't, and I'm afraid the news isn't pretty. For most of us, it takes hours of hard work in the gym and careful attention paid to our nutritional choices for at least 95% of the time. Don't get me wrong, there are those who have never had to work hard. Some are born with the right genetics to stay lean with ease and respond very well to very little exercise - we all know people like this, they are annoying. For the rest of us "hard work" are the two most important words in achieving the body we desire! There are those who will say I am wrong, but I put to you that they either have an opposing product to sell (promising a flat stomach in 4 weeks with no effort etc) or have never achieved great results when working with others who struggle with either fat loss or muscle gain.

Perseverance is one of your most powerful tools on the road to the body you deserve. Anyone can lose a few pounds quickly doing a crash diet, but it is only those with perseverance who can really achieve great results. I have been very fortunate in that I have been able to help many people with this trait and the results they achieve are always impressive. I am not talking about losing 8lbs in weight over the course of several months here, I am talking serious progress! Perseverance through difficult situations, temptation, stressful periods in life and the worst - stagnation, is what separates those with great results and those that don't quite make it.

Make sure that, whatever your fitness goals are, you stick with them! I guarantee you will have rough patches and I guarantee you will be tempted to skip gym sessions or "cheat" on your healthy eating plan while those around you indulge; everyone has these temptations from time to time. Perseverance will ensure that you are one of those who get's everything they desire out of their fitness aspiration. It is always worth it in the end!
