- We take nutrition and supplementation very seriously. Both are key in improving health and rate of fat loss.
- My opinion is that supplementation is essential. Not important, but essential.
- A single great quality, well thought out supplement can have significant impact on your progress in the gym and in the mirror. We hope this document helps you understand which products provide which benefits.
Whenever we discuss supplementation, I feel it’s important to re-state my priorities as a nutritionist with Xander Conditioning. They are;
Solid food is of course at the top of our list of lifestyle habits to influence your health and fat loss. However, the fact is that the quality of our food (organic or not) is nowhere near what it used to be, or what we need it to be to restore full health and improve body composition efficiently.
As a nutritionist and business owner in the health and fitness industry, I can stock pretty much any supplement brand I chose. Put another way; I have the luxury of using whichever company I feel does the best job of producing quality, purity and sourcing the best raw ingredients. The Poliquin Group is our chosen supplier for this reason. I wouldn’t risk the reputation of my company and the standard of results we produce on anything less than the best. Quality first.
Whey Stronger – 30 servings £45
Only 9 ingredients, 3 different forms of the highest quality whey & natural flavouring.
“Whey protein is your choice if fat loss or muscle gain is your primary goal. Using this post-workout doubles your rates of protein synthesis, meaning; it doubles your fat loss and muscle building efforts!”
Omega3 Liquid – 206ml £25
Pharmaceutical grade fish oil from low-toxicity fish. Lemon flavoured. Liquid allows higher doses to be used more easily than capsules.
“If you take only one supplement, choose omega3s. They positively effect every cell in your body and quickly reduce fat from your stomach and hips. It’s a one-size-fits-all fat loss booster.”
Multi Intense – 180 tabs £27.50
A potent yet gentle vitamin and mineral formula that features high quality ingredients designed for optimal absorption and bioavailability.
“A great multivitamin is an easy insurance policy against deficiencies which may ultimately hold back your progress and health. B-vitmains are particularly important for fat loss and energy production on low-carb diets.”
Vitamin D3 – 60 soft gels £22.50
This bioavailable form of vitamin D is solubilized in oil to support absorption in the intestinal tract.
“The sunshine vitamin that we all lack in the UK. There is no other way to ensure enough D3 in the UK without supplementation. A huge game-changer for immune system function and muscular strength.”
Ubermag – 90 caps £18.50
A unique magnesium formula combines four different chelates of magnesium for optimal absorption. Chelates are far better absorbed than the inexpensive magnesium salts.
“My personal favourite supplement (at the time of writing). Great for stress, sleep and blood sugar management. Seriously consider! This has been a real help personally for my energy levels.”
Uberzinc – 90 caps £16
It is known amongst the world’s premier health professionals that these two forms of zinc are far superior to inexpensive zinc salts.
“If you have excess fat around your pectorals and hamstrings, or low testosterone in blood work, this supplement is your first choice.”
Wellness Greens – 30 servings £35
It provides a “super blend” of 100% natural fruit and vegetable extracts, vitamins, flax lignans, ionic trace minerals, enzymes, antioxidants, phytonutrients, and symbiotic intestinal flora.
“We like to use this shake in the morning to alkaline the body, promoting the optimal internal environment for fat loss. Its great to get in additional vegetable foods and good bacteria!”
ProFlora Excellence – 60 caps £25
These friendly bacteria support a healthy intestinal environment and are produced in a freeze-dried form for maximum stability and potency.
“I am a huge believer in gut health being paramount in fat loss and immune function. With gut issues being so common, probiotics have become our most commonly advised supplement with our trainees.”
